1. Are you named after anyone?
My middle name is the same as my great-great grandmother's, but it's not specifically named after her. My middle name was supposed to be my first name but my mother threw a tantrum after word got around her family when I was due to be born and what my name would be if I was a girl, so she and her doctor conspired to get me born earlier and she changed my first name to my middle name and gave me a new first name. Just to spite her family.
2. When was the last time you cried?
Last night watching Game of Thrones. Or possibly when my husband shared a 'rescued cat/dog' story with me. Or that time we were watching a cooking show and the chef threw a live crab in boiling water. It doesn't take much to trigger me, I'm very emotional.
3. Do you have kids?
Not yet, but hopefully in the future.
4. If you were another person, would you be a friend of yourself?
I'd like to think so, but neither of us could 'break the ice' so someone else would have to introduce us.
5. Do you use sarcasm a lot?
Not very often. I'm too serious.
6. Will you ever bungee-jump?
No, because I'd shut my eyes the whole time and that would be a waste of an experience.
7. What’s your favorite cereal?
Cornflakes with honey drizzled over.
8. What’s the first thing you notice about people?
How tall they are.
9. What is your eye colour?
Blueish-green with a hazel ring around the pupil. Yesterday my husband tried to say they're a bit greyish too, but I just think he's just jealous that he's got grey eyes and I have this colour you can't really define.
10. Scary movie or happy endings?
I HATE SCARY MOVIES so I'll go with happy endings.
11. Favorite smells?
Outside after a rainstorm, lemon, vanilla, my cat's belly after she's been sleeping, snug and warm.
12. Summer or winter?
I used to be a real winter girl but lately I'm starting to favour summer - maybe because we got air conditioning?
13. Computer or television?
Computer to watch TV!
14. What’s the furthest you’ve ever been from home?
I lived on the complete opposite side of the world for a few years. It took over 30 hours of travelling. A NIGHTMARE. I HATE travelling, but it was for my husband, so it was worth it.
15. Do you have any special talents?
I'm actually quite a talented classically trained singer, but since I lived in England my voice was damaged beyond repair by indoor smoking and sickness, and never quite recovered, so I don't sing in public anymore.
16. Where were you born?
The Literal Middle of Nowhere, Australia.
17. What are your hobbies?
Reading, blogging, knitting, video games. I will kick your ass at MarioKart and I am a Pokemon Master several times over.
18. Do you have any pets?
Two furbabies in the forms of a big tuxedo tomcat and a slightly smaller fluffy queen who is my total BFF (she of the sweet-smelling belly fur).
19. Favorite movie?
The Lion King, even though it doesn't pass the Bechdel Test, because Mufasa is the most amazing father figure ever and his ghost in the clouds scene is the most incredible piece of cinema in the history of the world ever.
20. Do you have any siblings?
An older brother who I used to completely idolise before I realised he was a dweeb, and a dead brother I always wanted to idolise.
21. What do you want to be when you grow up?
Happy.
