If you guess the twist in a book due to the author dropping hints (ie foreshadowing) does that make you like the book less?


Because I always thought we were MEANT to guess the twist before the big reveal.


But some people think this makes the author a poor storyteller?


Even though thanks for foreshadowing, we can guess what's going to happen?


I mean, if there was no foreshadowing, that'd be bad, too right?
